TOUR TO THE ECO-TOURISTIC PATHWAY "LA BOLA DE ORO"
("THE GOLD BALL")
(Humid Forest, Trekking y Horseback Riding, Bird Watching and Camping)
Departure from Puerto Lopez to the eco-touristic community of El Pital is programmed at 9 AM. From there the trekking/horseback riding begins, headed towards San Sebastian, the highest point in the area's mountain system at 800 meters. The duration of the ride is approximately 5 hours if horseback riding and 6 hours for trekking. You'll be able to observe a great variety of plants and animals during the trajectory, including the famous howling monkeys.
We'll arrive at the sector known as "LA BOLA DE ORO" at 4 PM where the tents will be set up for sleeping.
The following day, after breakfast, we'll head out towards El Pital for a 5 hour walk through 4 different pathways with the purpose of seeing a tropical humid forest in its primary state. Bamboo forests, orchids, bromelias, a great variety of insects, birds and reptilians (some exclusive to the area) are waiting for you.
It's important to notice this tour has a one or two day option.

RECOMMENDATIONS:It's important to carry the following: bug spray, pants and long sleeved shirts, flashlight, rubber boots (from August to October), required medication, and a personal hygiene kit.
